Fresh reports have claimed Arne Slot is a 'strong candidate' to become Liverpool's next manager and replace Jurgen Klopp this summer.
Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes are conducting the process to look for Klopp's successor this summer.
Xabi Alonso had been the initial frontrunner for the job, but he committed himself to Bayer Leverkusen before he secured the club's first Bundesliga title.
Sporting Lisbon head coach Ruben Amorim became the bookies' favourite to take over at Anfield.

But fresh reports have now linked Feyenoord boss Slot with the soon-to-be-vacant role at Anfield.
The 45-year-old led Feyenoord to the title last season and has earned widespread praise for working with a shoestring budget and utilising the club's talented youth squad.
GB News takes a look at three players who Slot could look to sign at Liverpool if he ends up taking the job at Anfield.
David Hancko
Liverpool will likely need some defensive recruitment in the summer with Joel Matip's contract expiring as well as the fitness issues of Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate.
Slovakian central defender Hancko has been a crucial part of Hancko's defensive unit and is seen as one of the best centre-backs in Eredivisie.
Similarly impressive has been his fitness record with no other Feyenoord star playing more than the 26-year-old this season.
He did sign a new contract extension earlier this year, but Feyenoord have proven in the past that they're willing to sell players for the right price.
Quilindschy Hartman
Liverpool have been linked with changing things up on the left side of defence and Hartman fits the type of full-back that has thrived under Klopp's system.
The 22-year-old has emerged as one of Slot's biggest success stories at Feyenoord having come through the youth system and earning his senior international debut with the Netherlands.

Hartman has shown his ability going forward with seven assists in 38 appearances this season.
His performances haven't gone unnoticed by clubs all over Europe, but Slot's possible arrival at Anfield would surely give Liverpool an advantage.
Justin Bijlow
Alisson Becker remains Liverpool's No 1, but Caoimhin Kelleher has played 26 times this season.

The Republic of Ireland goalkeeper is considered by Klopp to be the best No 2 option, but he could push for an exit this summer for more regular football elsewhere.
If he gets his wish, Liverpool will need to find an adequate replacement capable to stepping in for Alisson when needed.
Bijlow has had his own injury issues this season, but he's impressed when fit and could be a cheap option.
