Manchester United have failed in a late bid to sign Tosin Adarabioyo with the defender set to join Chelsea instead, reports say.
The Red Devils are currently conducting a post-season review, with Erik ten Hag fighting to keep his job at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman guided United to FA Cup glory last month, with the fallen giants beating Manchester City 2-1 at Wembley.
Goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo gave the Red Devils the trophy, their second under Ten Hag's watch.

But his future remains up in the air, with United considering the likes of Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel as potential replacements.
According to the Daily Mail, United made a late attempt to sign Adarabioyo on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old impressed for Fulham last term, making 20 appearances as the Cottagers finished 13th in the Premier League table.
But United left it too late, with Chelsea set to sign Adarabioyo instead.
The Blues are due to confirm his arrival in the next 48 hours, with the centre-back due to become the first signing of the Enza Maresca era.
