Conor McGregor chose an unusual response to Monday's mounting controversies by posting a birthday message to himself on social media.
The disgraced UFC fighter faced fresh scandal when rapper Azealia Banks shared alleged nude photographs she claimed he sent her without prompting.
This came after the 37-year-old was photographed at the weekend engaging in public displays of affection with an unidentified woman on a Florida beach.
Despite the dual controversies dominating headlines, McGregor declined to address either situation directly.
Instead, he posted on X, formerly Twitter: "Happy birthday to me!"
The tongue-in-cheek message to his 10.6 million followers marked his 37th birthday, which fell on 14 July.
Banks, known for her high-profile social media feuds, posted two explicit photographs on Monday that appeared to show McGregor posing naked in front of a mirror.

She alleged the images were sent to her via direct message on X despite her not following his account.
"How you gonna send a b**** a some crooked d*** pics then threaten her not to tell," she wrote alongside the screenshots. "@TheNotoriousMMA n**** do you know who the f*** I am? This is HARAM".
The screenshots also revealed a message from what appeared to be McGregor's account stating: "Don't be a rat cos all rats get caught".

One image allegedly showed his genitals strapped to a dumbbell, accompanied by the caption: "Lifting weights".
The explicit allegations emerged after McGregor was photographed kissing an unknown brunette woman at Fort Lauderdale beach over the weekend.
The Irish fighter, who has been engaged to Dee Devlin since August 2020, was seen without his long-term partner.

Witnesses observed McGregor sharing a sun lounger with the woman, who wore a leopard print bikini. He wrapped his arm around her back as they chatted in the shade.
The 37-year-old, dressed in green swimming trunks, was later seen entering the ocean with the mystery woman and another female companion.
The pair were subsequently spotted standing and talking as she wrapped herself in a yellow and white striped towel.
Devlin appeared unfazed by the cheating allegations when she broke her silence on Monday. The mother of four shared a fan account post on her Instagram story that read: "Happy Birthday to the person who always keeps Dee entertained and makes her smile."
The couple have been together since 2008 and share four children: Conor Jr, 8, Croia Mairead, 6, Rian, 4, and Mack, 1.
McGregor proposed to Devlin in August 2020 whilst celebrating his 32nd birthday in the south of France.
