Sky Sports forced to issue apology after Ashley Young interview derailed by teammates

Sky Sports was forced to issue an apology after a player’s bum was shown in the background of Ashley Young’s interview.

Young was being interviewed about his recent move to Ipswich Town when the camera caught more than anyone expected.

The former England international was discussing his fitness and training, as a player in the background was seen removing his shorts as he bent over, exposing his bum to the camera.

Moments later, the incident got stranger, as another player reached over and appeared to smack the bare skin of the player with his hand.

Eagle-eyed viewers were quick to spot the ordeal, forcing Sky Sports to issue an apology.

"Earlier this hour, we interviewed Ashley Young live on Sky Sports News.

"We'd just like to apologise if anything you saw within that segment caused offence during our live broadcast."

Ipswich fans will be hopeful that the unusual bonding tactic will be able to get the team back into the Premier League next season.

During the interview, the 40-year-old opened up about the circumstances that resulted in him leaving Everton and making the switch to the Championship side.

"It was difficult, I was disappointed not to be offered a new contract [at Everton].
