The millionaire former owner of Nottingham Forest has revealed he was stabbed in his own home by masked robbers.
Fawaz Al-Hawasi sustained stab wounds to his hand and injuries to his neck as men ransacked his £10million London property.
It is believed the Kuwaiti entrepreneur, 57, was asleep as men entered his room and stabbed him.
The gang then fled - and it is unclear what, if anything, was taken from the Mayfair property earlier this month.
His lawyer said the event "had become a major point of concern" for visitors from the Arabian Gulf - with even London's glitziest neighbourhoods falling victim to violent crime.
He added that "visitors, tourists, students, and patients" were afraid of facing similar incidents after the attack.
The Met has said the injuries were not life-threatening and enquiries were ongoing.
Before taking over at Forest, he was the president of Qadsia SC in Kuwait.
Under his presidency, the club won two Kuwait Premier League titles, two Emir Cups, along with the Federation Cup and Super Cup.
Mr Al-Hawasi bought Forest from Nigel Doughty's estate in 2012.
He then sold the club to current owner Evangelos Marinakis in May 2017 after the club went through nine different managers in five years.
Forest dropped further and further down the Championship every year during his tenure, going from eighth in 2012-2013 to 21st in 2016-17.

He had originally wanted to retain a 20 per cent ownership in the club, but was eventually convinced to leave the club entirely.
