Luke Littler has admitted he 'pounced' on Luke Humphries missing a match dart during his Premier League victory in Leeds on Thursday night.
The 19-year-old clinched a record-equalling sixth win in the competition after a thrilling 6-5 final at the First Direct Arena.
Earlier in the night, Littler had battled his way past both Michael van Gerwen and Jonny Clayton, while Humphries overcame Josh Rock and Stephen Bunting.
The teenager continues to set the standard, with the youngster now five points clear of Clayton at the summit.
The result could have been different had Humphries taken advantage of his match dart, only for the world number two to come up short.
And Littler, speaking afterwards, admitted that he 'pounced' on his rival's shortcomings.
"A very good night. Every game went to a last-leg decider so the crowd definitely got their money's worth tonight!" he told Sky Sports.

"I'm very happy with myself and now I can go on to break my own record.
"Seeing Luke miss for the match was crucial. I pounced on it. But it was another good game between us.
"I'll take winning three nights in a row! I'm in the clear now and I just need to keep top spot."

Littler initially endured a slow start to this season's Premier League.
However, the 2024 champion has rediscovered his mojo and is the overwhelming favourite to win the entire competition when the playoffs are held at the 02 Arena later this month.
In addition to that, he's also equalled his own nightly win record from two years ago with one week still remaining.
Pundit John Part enjoyed the spectacle, though sympathised with Humphries after he missed the chance to secure his first nightly win of the season.
"These Premier League nights are just so entertaining this year. Every night is exciting," he stated.
"The 6-5s, it's wonderful when you don't know who is going to win until the last dart is thrown.

"We were treated tonight.
"Humphries, home town hero, didn't quite get over the line even though he had one dart to win it.
"I think a lot of people will be talking about that."
Meanwhile, Humphries has now battled his way into fourth despite the 31-year-old's struggles throughout the campaign.
Littler, Clayton and Gerwyn Price make up the top three - while Van Gerwen, Gian van Veen, Bunting and Rock all currently look set to miss out on the finals at the end of the month.
