Emma Raducanu makes defiant statement after reaching Queen's final: 'I am back, better than ever'

Emma Raducanu has stormed into the Queen's Club final after a brilliant double victory on Saturday, and she's feeling better than ever.

The British No. 1 saw off lucky loser Kamille Rakhimova and sixth seed Iva Jovic to book her spot in Sunday's championship match against Donna Vekic.

It's her third career final and her first on home turf – a massive moment for the 23-year-old.

"I wouldn't say it's necessarily the 'old Emma'. I think it's the new Emma because you take all of your lessons and experiences and all the ups and downs," Raducanu explained.

Emma Raducanu insisted she is back and better than ever

"Yeah, I'm back and better."

The world No. 42 hasn't dropped a single set all week, which tells you everything about her form right now.

She's powered past Anna Blinkova, Sorana Cirstea, Rakhimova and Jovic in commanding style despite rain delays wreaking havoc on the schedule.

Her quarter-final was even cancelled at around 7.45pm on Friday when play ran long.

Having Andrew Richardson back in her corner has clearly made a difference – he's the coach who guided her to that stunning US Open triumph in 2021.

Emma Raducanu had to play twice on Saturday to reach the Queen's final

Nearly five years on from that historic win as a teenage qualifier, Raducanu is just one victory away from claiming her second career title.

The home crowd has been a huge source of energy for Raducanu throughout the tournament, and she made sure to single out some special supporters after her semi-final win.

"Can I just give a shoutout - there's, like, three guys over there, I was 0-30 on one service game and I had the 'Radders' going. All the support today has been incredible," she said on court.

Those chants came at exactly the right moment, cutting through the noise when she needed it most.

"In that moment they were so loud and penetrated through the rest of the crowd," Raducanu grinned.

Raducanu has now given her team a rather lovely mission – track down those three fans and get them back to the Queen's Club for the final.

"Any sort of play on the name I quite like," she said with a smile.

"I really hope they can come back tomorrow. Regardless, I will get my agents to find them and get them back tomorrow."

It's a touching gesture that shows just how much the home support has meant to her this week.

The Brit also paid tribute to her wider team, praising their unwavering belief during tougher times when results weren't going her way.
