A late strike from Eduardo Camavinga sealed the result as France maintained control throughout. Iraq defended bravely but struggled to create clear chances, completing only two shots on target.
The match took four hours to complete because severe weather forced a lengthy suspension, with lightning and heavy rain delaying play before officials allowed the game to resume safely.
