Marcus Rashford has thanked Jamie Carragher for shutting down a conversation about him ahead of the Premier League season.
The England international, 28, has returned to Manchester United following his Barcelona loan, with every indication from boss Michael Carrick that the forward is in his plans.
United legend Gary Neville brought up the 28-year-old on The Overlap, prompting Carragher to passionately call for the group of Ian Wright, Roy Keane and Jill Scott not to discuss the Englishman.
The Liverpool legend said: "Oh f***ing hell. Can we do a podcast without mentioning Rashford? Stop it!
"Oh my god. It's like the Trent [Alexander-Arnold] and Rashford; there was like a little part of the podcast, the Trent part or the Rashford part."
Neville intervened, joking: "How is Trent?"
The former United full-back added: "No, but he's come back to United."
Carragher responded: "So what? Oh my God. He's just a good player for Man United!"

Rashford has worked his way back into the United set-up with Carrick in charge, featuring in the club's pre-season and looks set to be in the squad for their Premier League opener on Saturday against Hull City.
The United boss was full of praise for the returning 28-year-old, saying he "can offer us so much".

Carrick said: "He's a very good player, and I think if you're going to have a career over 10 or 15 years, there's going to be times when things go in a direction and maybe a different direction.
"I think there are ups and downs, and that doesn't judge you as a one-off kind of judgment.
"It's what happens over time, and now we're in a positive place as a group, and Marcus can offer us so much.
"He has done, and he can do again, so in that respect, it's quite exciting."

The United boss continued: "He came in, he's trained really well.
"I've known him a long time, like I've known some of the others a long time, so I don't treat him any different to anybody else, but it's been good to have him around the group again this week. So I'm really positive with that."
United's first home game comes at the end of the month against Ipswich Town, with Rashford poised to be welcomed back by the Old Trafford faithful after not playing at home since December 7, 2024.
