Nine Champions League matches are to come this evening, with a minute's silence being held before each game in tribute to the striker.
Owono is said to be "deeply upset" over the incident and plans to apologise to the late player's family.

Tenerife released a statement this morning confirming the death of their forward, writing: "Racked with pain, with a lump in our throats and unable to believe that this is true, from CD Tenerife we communicate the tragic passing of Jesus de Miguel Alameda.
"There are no words of comfort; there is absolutely nothing that can alleviate this feeling overflowing with sadness.
"The family of Jesus de Miguel is grateful for each and every expression of support received, and also requests, from the bottom of their hearts, the utmost respect for their privacy during these terrible times. RIP."
The horrific collision occurred in the final moments of CD Tenerife's tie with AC Andorra at Estadio Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez.

De Miguel challenged for the ball in midfield when Owono charged into him in the seventh minute of stoppage time.
Owono was shown a straight red card as players gathered around the fallen forward.
CD Tenerife and FC Andorra players frantically motioned for medics to aid De Miguel as he lay motionless.
Staff treated the forward on the pitch for five minutes before rushing him to hospital as the match was abandoned.
Tenerife warned that De Miguel's "medical condition has worsened neurologically" after he was hospitalised, just hours before his death.
