Jamie Vardy is preparing to make his mark in broadcasting after his podcast secured the rights to show live Bundesliga football.
The former England and Leicester City striker, 39, has landed the agreement through Jamie Vardy’s Having A Party, beating competition from Gary Neville’s hugely successful The Overlap brand.
The deal represents a significant step forward for Vardy’s growing media career while he continues playing professionally.
A dedicated television channel is being created with Samsung TV, with coverage also set to be made available through Amazon Prime, according to The Sun.
Live Bundesliga matches will form the centrepiece of the agreement, beginning with Friday evening fixtures at 7.30pm UK time.
Vardy will combine the match coverage with content from his podcast, offering his own insight into Germany’s top division and discussing the biggest talking points with a range of guests.
A source told the newspaper: “This is a huge move for Jamie as he expands his talents in broadcasting, while still playing football.
“He’s buzzing to reach Bundesliga fans and chat with star guests about action on the pitch.
“He’s hoping to create a real community with his podcast and is loving getting into the nitty-gritty of the sport.”
The Premier League legend is believed to have several high-profile guests lined up for future episodes.

Former Leicester team-mates are expected to appear alongside celebrity friends, while Vardy also plans to welcome his wife, Becky, onto the programme.
The project provides Vardy with an opportunity to showcase the personality and sense of humour that made him one of English football’s most popular characters during his remarkable career.
His move into broadcasting was announced after entertainment giant Banijay Entertainment unveiled Players Network in June.
The initiative, produced by Workerbee, was established to give leading sports stars a platform to create their own programmes and communicate directly with supporters.
Vardy previously spoke of his excitement at entering the podcasting world while retaining the perspective of an active professional footballer.
He said: “I am excited to launch the podcast with one of the major players in the game, Banijay Entertainment. I am still an active player.
“But having an opportunity to chat football and have a banter off the pitch is something that I am really looking forward to.”
Vardy is currently without a club after leaving Serie A side Cremonese earlier this summer.
He has been linked with a number of teams, with Sheffield Wednesday currently the favourites to secure his signature.
An emotional return to Leicester has been touted, though remains unlikely, while West Ham have emerged as potential suitors as well.
